MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo

  • With the addition of Damian Lillard, Giannis finally has that viable 2nd option. After last year’s disappointing 1st round playoff series against the Heat you can be sure we will see the best possible version of Giannis.

Defensive Player of The Year: Anthony Davis

  • Coming off of a historic defensive playoff run last year, you can be sure he will continue to keep this pace. There is no defender in the league that can do what Davis does. He can guard positions 1-5 with the same intensity and has the paint presence as if a brick wall was standing in front of the rim.

Rookie of The Year: Victor Wembenyama

  • The biggest prospect since Lebron James, we now have a guy who is 7’4 and can do everything a guard can do. The most unique prospect the NBA has ever seen has a chance to make history this year. His defensive prowess and his offensive package make him one of the most exciting players we will see.

Sixth Man of The Year: Norman Powell

  • Norman Powell is one of the more underrated players in the league. His ability to shoot and draw fouls is so important for the Clippers when comes off the bench. Last year in the playoffs he averaged 21.8 points and I’m sure he will try to keep that same intensity as he had in the playoffs.

Coach of the Year: Adrian Griffin

  • The first year head coach will have a very good chance to win because of the team he is surrounded with. There are not a lot of mistakes he can make as he has two of the best players at their respective positions. As long as they’re winning and he is making the right choices I can’t see how he can lose this award.
