The Greatest of ALL Time. Many people thought that he would never fight again. Others thought that when he returned, he wouldn’t look the same. Jon jones completely dominated Ciyrl Gane in the first round with his grappling. Until he loses he should always remain the best in the world.
2. Alexander Volkanovski (UFC Featherweight Champion)
The Aussie is one of the most skilled fighters the UFC has ever seen. He showcased these skills in… well every single fight we’ve seen of him in the UFC. In his fight against the UFC lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev we saw a complete chess match. Many people thought that Volk had done enough to get the win but unfortunately he came up just short. If you are a fan of MMA I’m pretty sure you would agree with me that these two need to fight again.
3. Islam Makhachev (UFC Lightweight Champion)
Islam is one of the best fighters in the world and he has done this with his dominating fighting style. His wrestling is amongst the best we’ve ever seen and it overshadows everything he can do with his striking. Islam is a very skilled striker who has crisp technique and sharp accuracy. He is one of the younger fighters at the prime age of 31 he has a chance to be one of the sport's greatest fighters we’ve ever seen.
4. Leon Edwards (UFC Welterweight Champion)
Leon Edwards gave us one of the greatest comeback knockouts we have ever seen. He defeated Kamaru Usman who at that time, felt like he had an aura of invincibility. Not only did he get the knockout but he defended his title against Usman in the rematch and won. He will take on Colby Covington in December which will be huge.
5. Charles Oliveira (#1 Lightweight Contender)
Oliveira is without a doubt one of the most exciting fighters we have in the UFC. Every fight we see him throw himself right into the fire and always come out on top. This year he faced Beneil Dariush in which he gave us an unbelievable first round T.K.O. Oliveira will take on Islam in the rematch for the lightweight championship this month and hopefully we see a totally different fight than last time.
